| Our research involves the development and applications of advanced electron microscopy methods to the study of contemporary materials. Quantitative high-resolution electron microscopy, aided by computer-controlled microscope operation and image simulation, enables direct determination of atomic structure in defective materials. Electron holography involves the operation and measurement of electrostatic and electromagnetic fields associated with nanostructured materials. Our research interests include oxide and semiconductor heterostructures, magnetic thin films and multilayers, and many types of nanostructures. |
